Beneficiaries
Northwest Corks & Crush brings our community together in support of children and youth, benefiting programs and services at Good Samaritan Hospital and providing scholarship funding for the Puyallup Fair Scholarship Program.
Good Samaritan Foundation
http://www.goodsamhealth.org/foundation/
Good Samaritan Foundation provides philanthropic support for Good Samaritan Community Healthcare, helping meet the healthcare needs of east Pierce County communities. Donations to the Foundation provide care for patients who do not have the ability to pay for service, the purchase of cutting cutting-edge equipment, funding for capital projects in response to our growing community, and allow for expanded programs and services.
The Puyallup Fair Foundation

The Puyallup Fair Foundation, whose mission is to financially support the scholarships and educational programs of the Fair and to preserve and improve the Fair for future generations, was created to enhance the philanthropic efforts of the Fair.
The Foundation’s projects are two-fold. First, the Foundation will continue the Fair’s highly successful scholarship program, which thus far has awarded $515,000 to 211 of our area’s high school graduates.
Scholarship opportunities include:
- Western Washington Fair Academic Scholarships
(five awarded annually) - Puyallup Fair's Fred Oldfield Scholarship for the Arts
(five scholarships annually) - Pacific Lutheran University
(one annual scholarship, agriculture/education related) - Campbell/Montgomery Scholarship
(one annual scholarship, writing related) - Western Washington Fair's Korum Family Arts Scholarships
(three awarded annually) - Daffodil Foundation Scholarship (one awarded annually)
- Bill Stoner Endowment Scholarship (two awarded annually)
- Pierce College - Vet Tech Program (one awarded annually)
Northwest Corks & Crush inspired two new scholarships which were added in 2007 to support the Washington wine industry:
- Washington State University Viticulture and Enology Scholarship (one awarded annually)
- Walla Walla Community College Enology and Viticulture Scholarship (one awarded annually)
The second project is to create a best-in-the-nation Traveling Farm, which will bring agricultural education about where food comes from, healthy food choices to combat childhood obesity, and an appreciation for and preservation of farming as an important way of life in the Puyallup Valley and, indeed, the world, to grade schools throughout the Puget Sound area at no cost to school districts or students. This is especially important for those schools or children who are unable to benefit from the educational programs that are housed on the Fairgrounds.
